#NeuroConCiencia| Biophysical modelling of non-invasive neuroscience
- Speakers: Marc Schwartz Pallejà, Doctoral Student at the Computational Neuroscience Group, Universitat Pompeu Fabra
Abstract
In this talk, I would give a general overview of the use of models in neuroscience. With a focus on modelling non-invasive data techniques, we are going to discuss which are the spatial and temporal scales used, what are the limitations, interpretations, and translational applications. As a case study, I will show how functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and scalp electroencephalography (EEG) can be used to infer potential mechanistic explanations in the context of neurodegenerative and developmental diseases.
